Well, in most of these journals I've bitched, and tried to bring things to peoples' attention that "`aint so cool." But there is a lot of negativetiy out there on the net, I'd say in blogs and the like there is likely a lot more negative then positive. But YAY! I have something positive to talk about.

First, a friend of mine on DA here did a render of me based on photos I sent to him. And I must admit, I really love it. Thank you Alexander!


The render is not exactly what I look like, but it is pretty damn close, and the 10% - 15% difference is a difference I like, and I honestly wish I looked a little more like the render, and not that the render looked more like me. So I really love it. Please give it a look:

Other good stuff, it looks like I'm going back to college. To that effect I will be moving pretty shortly here. So I'll likely fall off DA again for a time, but it shouldn't be long. And hopefully after I complete my degree, I can secure a job back in Japan and move again!

Intolerance – Hypocrites of Intolerance

First a statement of hypocrisy:

“I do not tolerate intolerance, and if you don’t agree with my opinions, then I don’t tolerate you either.”

This is the message I have received from another deviant. To be clear, he did not send any literal text to me in this regard. Rather this is the message his actions have conveyed. Now that I’ve set the background, let me tell my little story:

I noticed that [link] had posted two stamps—one was against the use of watermarks, and one was against copyrights. I asked him plainly about it. Here is the conversation:

Oppaiko: “I'd have to agree AND disagree... People get their crap stolen all the time! But I definitely agree as far as DA's watermark goes. I've already written several artists, begging them to use their own personal watermarks. But please don't make a blanket statement and call artists-that-try-to-protect-their-art "trouble makers."

But DA's watermark is an eyesore. BIG time.”

Zareste: “If you're going to cause trouble then yes that makes you a trouble-maker. Reversing words doesn't excuse your behavior.”

Oppaiko: (This is a paraphrase, my original comment was censored by Zareste) “But I don’t understand. Excuse what behavior? A car that is red can be called a “red car,” a person who makes trouble is a “trouble maker,” sure. But what are you saying is trouble making?”

Now my real issue is this: He complains that he’s been censored; that he has been banned, and that DA’s admin is unfair/corrupt/etc. Zareste claims that censorship is wrong, (and I largely agree) but yet he censors me. He will not explain himself. But yet he bashes the very site that allows him to host. I wrote him a personal note asking what was going on… wrote in private so that I would respect his privacy. But now he’s blown me off. (An I don’t want to talk to you, but thank you anyway.” Would have been enough.) But now he’s just unwilling to hear apposing viewpoints.

Why do I write all this? Two reasons,

1 – I’m mad, obviously.

2 – This is something that makes DA all the more restrictive. I’ve noticed that a lot of people who complain about being censored also disrespect the site outright. (It’s a free service for crying out loud.) and they disrespect other people. If you’re going to post adult content *act like an adult.* DA users should not abide or help immature, selfish behavior like this—because it will ultimately force the DA moderators to make the place more restrictive.

So please take heed, and do not repeat this behavior. And please, if you have time, drop [link] a line and encourage him to stand behind his statements instead of censoring people who disagree with him.

The subject of this journal is a general announcement to all my old friends.

You all haven't heard from me lately because I moved to a rural area for my Job. Out here I can't get anything but dial-up access. It makes navigating DA dang near impossible, because the site designers assume EVERYONE has high speed. (Which most do, I'm sure) I'm trying to get out of my current job, and get a Job in Japan, where I can be near my family. Until then, I'll likely be nearly unable to contact because the message screen alone takes like two minutes to load.

So if anyone writes me, or posts to me, and you don't get an answer, please forgive me. Hopefully I'll be mainstream again in the future.

I just got flamed by a friend who’s another deviant. I don’t hate him for it… but it makes me so sad. I feel like in this world, everyone is getting more polarized and determined that they have to defend their position, to the exclusion of considering anything new. I’m noting that it’s harder and harder to have a rational discussion with anyone. And while people scream, “I’m right, and you’re wrong! And I’ll NEVER listen to you.” really evil assholes screw the world over… saying, “look at that other side and how evil they are, so don’t pay any attention to me, ‘cause I’m on YOUR side.” When we’re all getting raped front, back, upside down… my ass hurts enough as it is. This world is so doomed. I just wish I could stop crying and enjoy what’s left of it… but it’s doom weighs too heavily on me heart.

Especially in light of the second link, I'm thinking that perhaps DA should require age verification to be a memeber of the site.

I'm not uptight. I am to say the least a kinky BDSM Fetishist, a lover of both the male and female bodies. (Hell, I can even get off on simply looking in the miror nude.) I love violent movies, and violent games; they are fun, and gore facisnates me, (so does properly functioning, healthy internal biology.) However, I was raised in a loving home, and am well adjusted to say the least; and I know my favorite things are ALL dangerous if not ingested with a liberal dose of maturity. (Hence, the term "mature art.")

All art here is not mature, and I would not want this site to be filled with strictly mature art either. However, it's becoming clear that this site is loosing good artists, and being filled to the brim with talent-less or undevelouped Deviants. The enviroment is dangerous for kids who have yet to mature to know themselves, and this world's dangers. Further, I'm tired of coutless crap and generi-artists. For example: I am sick and tired of all the damn Sonic fanart... What serious-minded, adult artist or art canesour focuses so much on that blue-ball waste of ink? A handfull I'm sure do, but the VAST majority of dedicated sonic fans are Koolaid-drinknig prepubesants. Also, on that note: STOP WITH THE UNORIGINALITY and go make a freakin "I bow down before Sonic" shrine on some other website.

I think a lot of progress would be made if all Deviants were required to be verified as adults; not so that this can become a Porn site. (I love Erotica, but I love ARTISTIC erotica, and care little for porn.)
